I have a 13 year old Cairn Terrier who is starting to show her age. She is quite stiff and has become sedentary.
We originally purchased the cookies to help her handle fireworks and thunderstorms this past summer. I found, if I gave her a cookie before the commotion began we noticed she did not get as worked up and nervous as usual.
A side benefit we noticed is that her activity level began to pick up and she was actually playing again. People who didn't see her frequently picked up on the increased energy level.
Presently we give her either a half cookie or at times a whole cookie daily. We are hoping to keep her off any type of medication for as long as possible. She really enjoys receiving her "special" cookie daily.
