"It's Dog-gone Beautiful"

🐾 4 out of 4 paws 🐾

This movie really made my tail wag. It's a story of love, friendship, and the unbreakable bond between a family and their furry companion. The universal love of dogs was felt throughout its entirety, like they captured the essence of a belly rub right through the camera.

Dog Gone is more than just a movie; it's a heartwarming tale of selflessness and a journey of growth. It really restored my faith in humanity.

While this movie is based on a true story, there might be a bit of poetic license involved, like adding some extra zoomies to make it more captivating. But hey, sometimes a little bark here and there makes the story even better, right? All in all, I definitely recommend checking this movie out, so grab some couchtime with your favorite human and give it a try!

"Dog Gone? Nothing Worth Finding Here"

🐾 1 out of 4 paws 🐾

Many describe Dog Gone as a 'love-it-or-hate-it' movie, and I have to say I agree with the latter. Although based on a true story, the script is like chasing my tail - it simply goes nowhere.

I think the title of this movie is incredibly appropriate though - I constantly found myself asking, "where is the dog?". All in all, this movie's really about taking accountability in your personal life, and sadly our furry friend (who did not even get his name in the credits!) was out of the picture for most of the story.

If you're looking for a movie about a father and son bonding and overcoming triumph, this movie still isn't that pawesome. While the dog is gone most of the movie, Robe Lowe seems pretty absent himself. Frankly, the producers should bury this embarrassment in the backyard. I'd recommend sticking to some of the classic 'dog in the wild' movies like Homeward Bound or A Dog's Way Home.
