Our double-dosed antioxidant formula was designed from the ground up to promote hip & joint health and proper back function. We've combined the synergizing power of hemp with botanicalsand adaptogens to fight free radicals, maintain joint mobility, and manage occasional stiffness and soreness.
Available in both functional hemp bites and tinctures, each expertly crafted with a collection of ingredients that deliver complementary effects.
We've folded our premium hemp oil extract into a round and crunchy supplement optimized for complete absorption and whole-body metabolism. For Bakko's hip-and-joint formula, we've double-dosed antioxidant natural products from around the world to complement our cannabinoids:
Hemp oil with naturally occurring CBD and a proprietary blend of Salmon Oil, Organic Flaxseed, New Zealand Green Mussel, Glucosamine Hydrochloride (shellfish), Chondroitin Sulfate (bovine), Ginger, L-carnitine
Alfalfa Meal, Apples, Coconut Oil, Gelatin, Molasses, Oats, Potato, Rosemary Extract, Sea Salt, Sunflower Oil, Sweet Potato, Tocopherols
I met Bakko in 2011, chomping his way through a garden of echinacea. When Bakko's hind legs eventually began to fail him in his old age, his owner, Elizabeth, said my original CBD "bites" helped him get around more easily (and with less discomfort).
Inspired by his love for botanicals, I got to work creating a recipe just for Bakko. I mixed full-spectrum CBD with salmon oil, flaxseed, New Zealand green mussel, glucosamine, chondroitin, ginger and L-carnitine for a pleasant, herbal biscuit for dogs like Bakko who just want to get up and go!
MEASURE 1-2mg CBD per 10 pounds of pet weight. Your pet may require more support depending on their condition.
GIVE alone or with a small amount of food. CBD works best when taken on an empty stomach.
WATCH your pet closely to see how they respond. Our Hip and Joints formula begins to provide results within 30 to 45 minutes and can last 4-8 hours.
ADJUST serving size until you see your pup feeling more nimble and happy.
We have a 5 year old yellow lab that has a history of knee ACL issues. We wanted to try these for a little extra support and she absolutely loves them! We have now been using them for more than 30 days and I feel like she is limping less and getting around better. This makes me so happy!
Leah is 8 years young, but is beginning to show her age after running around inspecting our barn too hard. Her hips are painful for a few days after and we had to get some pain meds from our vet the last time it happened to get her through the stiffness. I started giving Leah one of these biscuits per day in the AM and it has done wonders! She’s able to enjoy herself while staying comfortable. I was concerned to start another supplement for her as she has a sensitive stomach, so these treats have been a great substitute.
My 7 year old Rott Duke tore his ACL this winter. I have been using the Get Up & Go wafers daily since mid March and they are a difference maker. He’s able to go on long walks and even runs with friends
This is such great news! Thank you so much for sharing. We are so happy Duke is back taking long walks and running with friends.
The main reason I started purchasing CBD products was for my 5 year old Cane Corso, Mini, (she was the runt) who has been suffering with hip dysplasia. I've tried other products but knew she needed something stronger and I couldn't fathom the amount of $ it would take to help her based on dog treats alone and I want to find off alot of the ingredients in many of the treats. THEN I found Austin and Kats 1,200 mg oil and Treats... It Has Been Great! I just got through my first bottle of oil (and ordered 2 more). Significant improvement was noticed just 3 days after starting Mini on it. Unfortunately though, she felt so good she was out tearing around our property like a puppy one day and the next... she was miserable. So I'm upping her dosage. She's been getting 1mg every morning (******) with 2 of the "Get up and Go" dog treats. My other 2 dogs, an 8 year old rescued GSD (Maverick) and a 5 year old rescued Pit mix (Arya) have been getting one of the "Wiggles no More" treats every morning too. My little Arya was rescued as a tiny puppy wandering alone on the streets of Detroit. I fell in love while fostering her so I just had to adopt. Unfortunately she has trauma from puppy hood on the streets and can hear a storm before humanly possible and hits insanely high stress levels when we target practice on our property (while she was inside with doors and windows closed). She trembles, paces, hyperventilates and drips saliva so bad and nothing, and I mean nothing, has helped. This last storm I gave her 2-1/2 of the CBD treats and it made a HUGE difference. Not that she wasn't stressed but it was nothing in comparison to pre-CBD treats. Next time I'll try using some of the oil on her treats for a little extra *umpf* (and maybe, just maybe we'll be able to target practice again one of these days) but just getting her comfortable during storms are my first priority. Maverick has been suffering from a recurring ear infection, primarily in his right ear, since we adopted him at age 2. Many vet trips, meds, cleaning etc. and it always came back within a couple weeks. After receiving the 1,200mg oil, I Initially cleaned his ear as best I could and put about 1/4 of a dropper full of the oil in and massaged it well into his ear canal. It helped almost immediately. Since then I have been putting about 2-3 drops in his ear daily (sometimes every other day) and this is the first time he has been infection free in that ear for a solid month, without pharmaceuticals (which I hate using in the first place). So... 1 full month in with Austin and Kats products, I declare great success! I did just order the senior treats for Maverick yesterday since he is a senior in dog years. I'm not sure if that will make a difference since he is very active but I know it won't hurt. Mini will continue getting the "Get up and Go" with glucosamine and chondroitin and Arya will stay on the "Wiggles no More". As far as the oil? A resounding Yes, yes, yes! If I knew how, I'd post a picture of my fur babies... maybe at a later time!
Mary Anne, we are so happy we can help your pups. Thank you so much for the review.
My 12-year-10-month-old dog Shila lost Desna, her sister of 12 years, just nine months ago and is by herself for the first time in her life. She slept 20 to 22 hours a day and would sometimes skip meals. Two days after starting to give her one tablet in the morning before breakfast and one tablet at night before dinner she is now up and coherent as well as standing up and following me around the house as I get her breakfast or dinner. The difference is remarkable! I’ll be buying this product until I no longer have my baby and will recommending to everyone!
We are so happy too hear she is getting back to herself after losing he sister.
I am embarrassed to say I do NOT know how it worked for Nitzi!!! I am giving them to him daily, and will continue to do so until by two packages are gone. I THOUGHT he had DM---and STILL may be afflicted with it, BUT, my vet put him on a course of NSAIDs, and even without the NSAIDs, he was going down the stairs normally!! NOW, he is back to flying up and down the stairs. Previously, he had slipped and fallen down the stairs (wooden, unfortunately) but never cried out or acted like he was in pain. However, the next few days, he was unable to get down the stairs without help. His hind legs looked like his proprioception wasn't functioning well, hence my immediate concern and feeling of doom. I don't know what to say at this point. He goes off NSAIDs in 9 more days, and MAYBE I will start to see more symptoms return. But the literature doesn't suggest that PAIN has anything to do with the loss of motor control and proprioception. Again, I am embarrassed for losing my senses, but, at his age (14 July 2nd) I get concerned as soon as I notice ANYTHING different in his life! We have always fed him good food (Nutro Ultra and Nutro chunks, different flavors) and other than some teeth having to be pulled (BAD ME never had him to the vet annually for cleaning, but every 3/4 years!) he has been in perfect health. Gets his annual checkup and injections in the fall. Weight has remained steady from 46-48 lbs. I USED to clip him, but it took me HOURS, so now we have a groomer that does a far better job. We keep his nails ground and hair out of his ears. I must adjust that at his age, I am going to have to say goodbye sooner rather than later, but, up until this fall, he has acted like he was 2 instead of 14. Thanks, but I truly cannot rate your product for a specific disease, as Nitzi was never medically diagnosed! IF these symptoms return, the vet definitely recommended CBD oil, so I "will be back," (BUT I HOPE NOT, LOL!)
My dog suddenly decided that she no longer liked the previous CBD treats we had been giving her for her hip dysplasia, she was actually spitting them out. We decided to give these a try and now she actually runs over to get them in the morning. She loves the flavor, and we love that she's now asking to be brought up on the couch/bed.
Our golden is back at it, skiing back country. Glad we found something that can help. Thanks for the nice product.
These biscuits are not as hard as the others. Izzypop can chew them much easier. Which means she likes them.
Based on advice from a friend that gives her 21 dogs CBD regularly, we decided to give it a try instead of the expensive anti-inflammation drugs we were using. It’s been 6 weeks and he’s prancing now to go on a walk. Glad we signed up for a subscription!!
Prancing, after a Get Up and Go? How fitting! All kinds of yummy stuff packed in those biscuits - glucosamine, NZ green mussel, flax, the list does go on - for that extra enthusiasm in the day :)
